Sombra de Toro (Jodina rhombifolia) - Toro Pozo, Dpto. Jimenez

Caracteristicas:

Arbol perenne, de gran valor ornamental. Sus flores blanco-verdosas despiden un exquisito aroma, y sus frutos rojos atraen pájaros nativos. Se le conocen muchísimas propiedades medicinales.
Distribución: Desde Río Negro y La Pampa en el sur se extiende por el centro y norte de Argentina hasta el sur de Brasil, Paraguay y Bolivia. En Tucumán: Parque chaqueño y Monte
Observaciones: Empieza a florecer en mayo y fructifica de julio a noviembre. Junto al Aspidosperma quebracho blanco tiene hojas en invierno, es entonces de vegetación foliada
