Otros Nombres Vulgares: Piojito de las Riberas. Piojito de los Bañados. Color: Parte ventral plomiza. Parte dorsal pardusca. Corona blanca. Cola pardo oscuro. Ala pardo oscuro con plumas ribeteadas de ocráceo. Frecuenta terrenos arbustivos cerca del agua. Construye el nido en forma de taza con fibras vegetales y raicillas, forrándolo internamente con plumas. Lo ata a alguna rama o en las raíces que quedan en el aire, en las barrancas de los ríos. La profundidad es de unos 3 cm. El diámetro es de unos 4-5 cm. y la altura total es de unos 10 cm. Pone 3 huevos de color crema. Miden aproximadamente 17-17,5 x 12 mm. Media y baja cuenca
